So as I was saying last time, camp continued on as time naturally flows, there were beach parties and casino nights, outdoor movies and weekly concerts, all an ample supply of things to do with plenty of free time in between.
That is, until girl's session came along. See girl counselors don't spend as much time with campers as the boy counselors do because the girls aren't allowed in the cabins during boys session and vice versa during girls'. So, for me, the hard work of constantly bringing boys to the nurse and running errands for other counselors was nothing compared to what I faced next. Again, I had to adjust to the change between camper and counselor because a lot of my friends still went to camp. Which meant that whatever authority you tried to instill in your campers didn't work because your friends would say otherwise (Liz). Yet having friends at camp always has its perks, people who sit at your table, construct you a fan club (My personal favorite), people to buy you food, talk to you at your post and just generally hang out with. I spent many of my hour offs during open field at the field playing games with my friends because, what's the point of being on the internet talking to your friends when you have friends you rarely see so close to you?
don't I look great... |
Man do I miss these girls more than anything...
Just don't ask about the after party.
Next week will bring you to the Peloponnese, a place I wanted to never leave. (Again the link for the Camp is here if you want any information on it like dates or pricing)-Karin xx
