Around the World in 104 Days

So I've got some exciting news, I was just admitted into the study abroad program, Semester At Sea! I applied for the Spring 2017 semester, which leaves from San Diego in January and ends in April, in none other than Hamburg, Germany. (Lucky for me, I have friends in both places that I can probably stay with for a little bit)

The Spring Semester goes through 11 countries/ports including: San Diego, Ca, USA; Honolulu, Hi, USA; Kobe, Japan; Shanghai, China; Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam; Rangoon, Myanmar; Cochin, India; Port Louis, Mauritius; Cape Town, South Africa; Tema, Ghana; Casablanca, Morocco; and lastly, Hamburg, Germany.

Although I'm very eager to go on this trip of a lifetime, Semester at Sea is pretty pricey. The cheapest cabin comes in at $23,950 and the most expensive costs $29,950. While this price includes tuition—up to 15 semester credits, housing (price varies by cabin category), all meals on the ship, all academically required field classes, medical insurance,  and full-time, on-site residential student services staff, it doesn't include other important things like laundry, textbooks, travel visas, or their in-country excursions that Semester at Sea runs (making it a more safe option).
This is to remind me that I'm going back to San Diego at the end of December/beginning of January
Which brings me to my next point. I have set up a crowdfunding page on YouCaring.com to help try and raise money to pay for this trip of a lifetime. If anyone is willing to donate (any amount will help), I will be extremely grateful. Also, you would be helping me get the opportunity to take some amazing photos, and probably videos of my time in each country, which will obviously be going on to this page anyway, making my content better than ever.

As always, I'll be back next Sunday with something new and exciting happening, so stay tuned!

Talk to you later,

-Karin xx
